About Us

In every voice, a journey. In every story, our shared humanity.

We Are Here 2gether is a storytelling platform that bridges communities through real stories of migration and belonging.

In front of a live audience, voices come alive sharing journeys of courage, hope, and home. Each story builds understanding, breaks barriers, and reminds us that behind every reason lies a story and behind every story, a reason.

Our stories carry us across borders allowing us to travel the world through the voices of others. Each story connects us to new cultures, reshaping how we see ourselves and how we see one another.

Stories invite us to act, to break taboos, and the walls of ignorance begin to fall. Storytelling brings freedom. It narrows borders and opens hearts creating space for tolerance, acceptance, and unity. It is a bridge between past and present, a light guiding us toward wiser choices for the future.

We are here today. We are here now. We are here 2gether.

My name is Linda, and I am the founder of We Are Here 2gether, a storytelling platform born
from my journey as a migrant and my passion for human connection. As a social worker, I have
had the privilege of listening to countless stories from people around the world. These stories of
hope, struggle, and belonging reminded me how deeply connected we all are, beyond borders
and identities. Yet, I often felt frustrated that many of these voices were not being heard loudly
enough.

The idea for We Are Here 2gether was inspired by two moments that changed how I see
stories. The first came when a friend introduced me to a podcast where people shared their life
experiences. The second, and most powerful, came while reading “Horton Hears a Who” by Dr
Seuss to my six-year-old daughter. The line, “A person’s a person, no matter how small, ”
stayed with me. Horton’s fight to make the tiny voices of Who’s ville heard reflected what I felt
deeply—that every voice matters, and no story is too small to be told.

Through We Are Here 2gether, I hope to create a space where people, especially migrants and
those from marginalised communities, can share their stories in front of a live audience. A space
where storytelling builds bridges, challenges stereotypes, and reminds us that migration does
not define us; our dreams, talents, and humanity do.

Outside my work, I’m a proud mother of three. I love travelling, reading, meeting new people,
and spending time outdoors walking in nature and watching the seasons change. My favourite
season is winter; I love its cosy calm and the warmth it brings. I also enjoy running and
weightlifting, which keep me grounded and strong, both in body and spirit.
